Proof

"A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof. And when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven."

I think it has been proven that Paul Martin has to go, and can't be replaced with a Hurle stooge. Even if one was to try, who would want to connect themselves to such a 'loyal' braintrust.

Hi,

I'm a huge Manley fan and after reading a few of your posts, thought about putting up a Draft Manley site.

I went to check the availability and it seems like someone has already beat me to it at www.draftmanley.com

Do you know anything about it? How would I get involved?

Thanks,

Mike

Can't this wait until AFTER the election? All you're doing is undermining the Libs in the meantime. Do you WANT a Conservative government?

This is the first true and decent thing that I've seen on a Liblog site.

The best thing that could happen to the Liberals would be a huge loss, followed by an ethical purge and a leader such as yourself.
I am a 'Blogging Tory' and am finding it impossible to keep up with the Scandalalooza this week.

John, the problem with the Liberal Party is first ethics, then leadership. When I look at the false advertising, and stories like the faked rape call about Maurice Velacott, I just shake my head.

You are not alone. I wrote an e-mail to the Liberal Party yesterday:

As a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, allow me to be blunt. Your federal campaign has been a disgrace and a textbook example of ineffectiveness.

It pains me personally, but I think the Liberal Party is better-off in opposition for a few years. You need to regroup, reform, clean house and find your direction on the political compass again.

I am also a member of the Alberta Liberal Party, and all I can tell you is that you should take a close look at Kevin Taft's platform and policies if you're looking for inspiration as to what a truly liberal party is all about.

Your party has moved too far into socialism and statism. You should use your time in opposition to rediscover your liberal roots and return to true liberalism.

Please don't hold my comments against me. I am just being honest, that's all.

P.S. I am convinced that after a few years in opposition, our party will come back strengthened and reformed. Losing this one time is not a big deal and should not be a big deal in a true democracy.

From King Ed:

"These are not progressive people," Broadbent told a news conference in Ottawa Friday. "The only time they talked about being progressive is in the dying days of the campaign. It's the only time they use the word -- when they try to go after the votes of ordinary people who are indicating they're going to vote for the NDP. Well I can tell you that this time it's not going to happen."

"The Liberal campaigning has been deeply offensive," Broadbent continued. "Offensive to women, offensive to workers, and offensive to members of the armed forces, and offensive to all Canadians for suggesting that a vote for anyone but themselves is not progressive. This, my friends, is the height of arrogance. It is clear the Liberal Party no longer has the moral authority to deserve people's votes. Their cynical manipulation … will not work this time."

-- oh, no you didn't! LOL!

(a) Kevin Taft is a piece of shit. If I lived in Alberta I would either vote for Jim Dinning or else go NDP.
(b) Manley is right, there's a lot of baggage to carry. Nice to see Alfonso on the news again today. Warren's friends can't miss a headline I suppose.
(c) kudos to you for backing Manley. However, most of us won't.

John Manley should have a website open to see how many people would like to registered to say they would like him to run to be Prime Minister.
